The Director of Ceremonies is in charge of flag raising and retreats. The Director of Ceremonies finds a drummer for the flag ceremonies, and teaches Girls State citizens how to fold the flag, lead the prayer, pledge and anthem.

She is in charge of all scripts, rehearsals, and the details/organization of all assemblies.

The Director of Ceremonies may receive one-way mileage for attending Girls State and a $150 stipend. She must be able to attend Girls State from June 12-17, 2022.
